| Joel Ellis was born in Sacramento, CA. and raised in Pasadena, CA. After graduating from Crescenta Valley High School, he now resides in Monrovia, CA. Having a passion for sports Joel played baseball for the City of Sierra Madre for 8 years. While living in Pasadena, Joel was influenced by many great rock bands such as Van Halen , Armored Saint , and V.V.S.I. As a mere teen Joel hit the Hollywood circuit and has opened for many successful artists such as Warrant, Great White, Bullet Boys, King Kobra , Tuff , Michael Angelo and has played many high profile KNAC shows. Joels's favorite hobbies include collecting Artist signature guitar picks, of which he has over 5000 of them. Guitar collecting is a passion for him as well. He owns a few very rare guitars that were previously owned by successful musicians. The biggest blessing and Joel's greatest love is spending time with his 4 year old Son, which he hopes will follow in his footsteps someday, with his love for sports and music. GEAR: Guitars include an aged ‘59 reissue Gibson Les Paul , ‘87 black Jackson Soloist custom, and ‘88 Jackson Soloist Custom painted purple with Flintstones graphics. Amps include a Line 6 Vetta II head and a Mesa Boogie MK. III. Effects are a T.C. Electronics G Force, a Boss noise suppressor and Sennheiser Digital 1000. All screaming guitar sounds go through two Mesa Boogie Rectifier cabinets. |
